Twitter followers on Auto-pilot: 2 months later

It’s been 2 months now, and the results are in. Automated Twitter systems do work to get more followers. See the results below for 3 of my accounts.

Twitter followers

Keep in mind, however, that a good chunk of the followers/followed end up being automated as well, or businesses, or spammers. So it’s not perfect. But it sure beats the hell out of tweeting every hour of every day for every account!

Wordpress Plugins & SEO Checklist

I made one post about the 10-step checklist. Here are some to-do lists in more detail.

This is the difference between posting with SEO plugins & proper tagging and without:

WordPressSEOplugins

SETTINGS

  • Writing – Copy and paste plugin list found here
  • Permalink – Month and name / day and name
  • Reading – ‘A static page’ if you are selling a product or service. This would be your landing page or sales page. Check ‘Your latest posts’ if you’re just bloggin’ and writin’.

SEO PLUGIN LIST:

(Simply use search function and type these in)

  • All in One SEO Pack
  • FD Feedburner Plugin
  • MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer
  • Optimal Title
  • SEO Title Tag
  • Quick META Keywords
  • Simple Tags
  • Tag Suggest Thing

Easy Keyword Research Tools:

INSTRUCTIONS

When you post, include all relevant tags in the “All-in-one SEO Pack” box below the post. Also include tags in the Title Tag.

When you add tags that you find with research, the Simple Tags lets you add them to previous post tags. For example, your site is about pugs. You have 20 posts about pugs, but forgot to add the tag, “pug training” to all those posts. You can do it by typing “pug training” to the -add tag- field, then “pug” in the -current tag- field.

Bam. You just added “pug training” to every post that already has “pug” tagged to it.

More to come, stay tuned!

Affiliano Affiliate Network: Referrals With A Catch

If you get frustrated by not making sales with affiliate products, you can always join a CPA (cost per action) network, where you don’t have to sell; you just have to send a referral. Or a CPC program.

One such referral network has been growing with ridiculous speed, called “Affiliano.”

It’s a simple system. Brilliant, even. But I haven’t joined it, and you’ll understand why by the end.

The system has a few simple parts, but with a big catch.

Here’s what they tell you:

  1. You can make $50-$200 per day within a few months by making referrals. If someone signs up with a valid name and email, you get $1.00-$2.00 per referral.
  2. It’s free to start.
  3. You don’t have to sell anything.
  4. It’s a simple setup and they walk you through everything. 1, 2, 3, easy money.

Here’s what they DON’T tell you:

  1. Affiliates MUST purchase HostMonster.com at $6.95/mo for hosting their “free” referral site. No alternatives are allowed.
  2. Affiliano gets a commission for the referrals they make for web hosting at HostMonster.com.
  3. The money you’re making is from others like you who sign up to use HostMonster too.
  4. The big catch: You must make at least $200 worth of referral sales before they cut you a check.
  5. Meanwhile, you’re paying $6.95 per mo. for web hosting fees.

Now… the monthly fees for webhosting is by no means a rip-off. HostMonster is legit, and like Bluehost, HostGator, or JustHost, you get unlimited server space and unlimited hosted domains.

Also, they DO give you about $100 in Google AdWords credits to use. And hey, who says you have to use them to promote Affiliano? ;) I know…

So, yes you can make money using Affiliano. If you don’t already have a web hosting service, then you might as well kill two birds with one stone. But also consider, most web hosting services give you AdWords credits (i.e. Bluehost, which I use.)

And if you’re going to make money referring people to web hosting, why not just join a web hosting affiliate program? The truth is, there are way too many opportunities out there to waste time promoting one that will fizzle out like Affiliano. It’s just a different version of Carbon Copy Pro. Your time is better served building a business rather than chasing something that’s just a little to easy.

If you’ve tried Affiliano and made money with it, please let me know. Heck, maybe I’ll try it yet. But you have to convince me first. And if you do, then sure… I’ll be your referral.

Here are some example CPA networks you can join. There are bazillions.

If you want to earn affiliate commission from advertising an affiliate program (”two-tier” affiliate) then check these out:

MarketingTips.com – Free internet marketing courses, PDFs, eBooks

PPC Campaign Services – Free AdWords “cheat sheets” and tutorials)

Giving away free eBooks – Free eBooks with resell rights

You just recommend these as ways your online buddies or lists can earn recurring income, either by using the services (high quality) or by advertising their two-tier affiliate programs.

And yep, these are my affiliate links. So I make money if you advertise the affiliate program! (You don’t have to buy anything. I’d only profit if you do). Brilliant, right?

Now… go get your own affiliate links and start hustling! ;)

Best,
